The current committee is comprised of a core team of 16 community members with a desire to play a part in guiding the future of our community. The core group meets twice a month at the Sedona Arts Academy, with some members Zooming in virtually. This group provides leadership to another set of volunteers working on the various tasks involved with this ambitious project.
This project is for the community and by the community. If you'd like to get involved, send an email to the committee chair firstname.lastname@example.org. There are supporting roles and leading roles, on stage and behind the curtains - there's a place for you on the team.

The committee was established as part of the non-profit Big Park Regional Coordinating Council , whose bylaws reference the Big Park Community Plan . Although formed as a committee of the Council, it is open to the all citizens of the community. Funding for the community plan project is managed but separately reported by the Council treasurer.
The purpose of the ad hoc Community Plan Committee is to create a community Vision Statement and Plan that provides guidance to developers, redevelopers, businesses and the County in land use, development and re-development decision-making within the boundaries of the Big Park Region.
